Three months before our move, we reserved a date and were waiting for someone to come by for a quote. That person was supposed to send us a quote immediately, but it never arrived. So we decided to call them ourselves. They then indicated in an email that they had no availability for us? Why schedule us in then and send someone over for a quote? If you make a blunder in your planning, you don't send an email; you just politely call someone who has been waiting for you for a month. Valuable time is wasted this way. Very disappointed with this way of working.

UTS subsidiary Van Zijl handled a move in November 2021. A cabinet needed to be assembled, but that wasn't done. I contacted them about this by phone, email, and app. They promised to call me back each time with a date for scheduling and carrying out a small additional job. Almost three months have passed, and despite a new promise on February 1st, I haven't heard from them again. This led to the bad review, as this behavior is disrespectful to a customer.

The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the estimated workload was incorrect. Some boxes were unlabeled, and some were in the wrong place during unloading. They also shared boxes containing contents from different rooms. Pax wardrobes weren't assembled properly. The wardrobes need to be emptied and partially reassembled. It's a shame, as we now have a lot of extra work and valuable time is being lost—time we could better use for housework. As we unpacked the boxes, it only got worse. Fragile and non-fragile items were mixed up in one box. Kitchen items ended up in the garage and vice versa. Fortunately, all the boxes (over 200) have now been unpacked and collected. The person who came to collect the empty boxes also thought they were only taking a few, not over 200. This wasn't communicated to them. Advice: do use a certified mover, but don't choose UTS Hersevoort!

Unfortunately, the inventory appointment for the quote was scheduled incorrectly, or I'd entered it incorrectly in my calendar. According to my calendar, the gentleman was an hour early, and I had a different appointment scheduled. I was subtly reminded that the mistake was, of course, his and that I didn't need to call again for a new appointment. Fortunately, because I've read mixed reports about the quality of work this moving company delivers.
